Hi All,
I would love some feedback on a new product. It is called Expresso
Neonatal Substrate Warmer. It is being marketed to NICU and
eventually for home use for warming breast milk and formula. They are
telling the NICUs that our heating methods are most inaccurate (true)
and that this $4000.00 (US $) not including the liners (. 30 /ea)
for every feeding is the way to go. They only have one small study
they sent us looking at gastric emptying.

I have lots of questions. I know that scalding the baby has been
documented as a problem at home. I am looking for more studies on
temp related to feeding etc. I just have more questions then answers.
I am not sure if I think this is a great idea or a bit overkill. It
is really expensive. I really don't like idea of it being marketed to
parents for home use.
