Believe it or not, I actually finished my master's in performance
without having officially 'worked' on the Creston Sonata, but guess
what the required piece was on my first big pro audition.  Yep.  So,
I've definitely played it and also taught it to several pupils.

Someone else mentioned the Concerto, which isn't terrible but is rather
forgettable compared to the Sonata (which is absolutely gorgeous in
spots, especially the slow movement).  There is also a very interesting
Rhapsody for organ and alto sax, which I had the pleasure of performing
a couple or three years ago.  My boss at Ohio University's Music/Dance
Library happens to have a doctorate in organ performance, so we've done
a few recitals together.
