I'm working on a paper on changes in lunch-time habits for skilled craftsmen/pre-industrial workers versus unskilled. Basically, how skilled craftsmen ate at mid-day in their work environment/landscape, what they ate, who they ate with, etc. My focus is on the Chesapeake/Tidewater, but would like to apply it later to Pennsylvania German areas. Does anyone know of similar research either archaeological or historical? Thanks in advance!
