A special invitation on September 29 in Québec City: two exceptional lectures!!


Please find attached a link to a poster announcing two public conferences that will be presented at Palais Montcalm on September 29th at 8:00 PM in connection with the 16th General Assembly of ICOMOS (http://www.hospitalite.com/Clients/icomos/en/02_nouvelles.htm).


The first conference "Cultural Heritage saved from Taliban Madness" will be on the hidden treasures of the National Museum in Kabul and will be presented by Dr. Fredrik Hiebert of National Geographic. The second presenter is Mr. Robert Grenier from Parks Canada, his presentation will be on "Arctic... The North-West Passage or the Route of Shipwrecks, 20 year of underwater archeology in the Canadian Great North" and is registered in the Franklin Expedition mission recently announced by the Prime Minister of Canada, Stephen Harper. (simultaneous translation available).

These conference are presented by ICOMOS Canada with the support of the Martin Weaver Memorial Fund. The admission is $20 and the tickets are available through this link (réseau Billetech).
