not sure if anyone else has been following this, but it's a fascinating little study of 2 photos from the crimean war, now in its 3rd installment; the question: which photo was taken first and was one (or both) of them faked?
there's some stuff about photo analysis (including forensic work) but a lot about reasoning & interpretive processes, and the role of the "neutral" photographer:
