Fight To Save Manhattan's History

January 14, 2008 -- Scott Stringer is a man on a mission: To save the city
from getting wiped off the map.

But the weighty task has nothing to do with tidal waves or dirty bombs - the
Manhattan borough president is charged with keeping all the official maps of
New York County dating back to 1748, many of which have faded and begun to
crumble to the point that they are in dire need of preservation...
