A few years ago, the Hazelbaker fingerfeeder became almost non-existant. It
was my understanding that the mold is very unique, and had broken, and was
expensive to remake (as well as taking time to do so). I wonder if something
like this has happened again, leading to limited supplies?

Best wishes,
Sam Doak

I haven't been able to get a straight answer on this either. I heard a rumor
in December that the Hazelbaker fingerfeeder was going to be dropped, so I
contacted Alison Hazelbaker, she had heard no such thing, and Medela denied
it to her as well. One colleague's Medela rep denied it, another said it was
going to be discontinued, so I ordered 3 cases (I like the device). When the
2007 catalog came out, it said "supplies limited". I hate the fact that it's
getting ever harder to get a straight answer from some companies. Who else
is upset that Medela renamed the Haberman feeder "Special Needs Feeder"?
What parent wants to have us recommend something with that name for their
new baby?

Aaargh.
