Of course the argument is false!! The truth is that hospitals who provide
little bottles of artificial milk are depriving women of choice in that they
are usually only providing the milk of one company, and this denies the
women the choice of choosing the milk which best suits their baby. If they
really cared about choice, they would provide generic brand milks, from all
companies, to see what best suited their babies. Just as breast milk is
different in each woman, different babies need different kinds of milk, and
some need special milks. This choice is not provided either in the gift
bags or the milk provided by the hospitals.

The same is true of the gift bags. The samples, or coupons, ( in our
hospital, moms get coupons. I long ago got the milk samples out of the
bags), are usually only for the brand of milk which the hospital works with,
and maybe different babies need different types of artificial milk.

This is what you have to emphasize every time the "choice" argument comes
up.
