Hello, all!
I'm taking the helm of our program department, so I'm looking for a
person to take over and do great things as our science program manager.
It's a bit of everything - adult volunteer education/training, managing
an outreach workshop program, creating content for publications/website,
advocating for science both within and outside the organization. We'll
pay you and give you benefits, the job is based in Seattle (Seattle!
C'mon, you love Seattle) and we might even feed you some Girl Scout
cookies. Please forward to anyone you know who might be interested!
Thanks,
-Stephanie

At Girl Scouts we know that given the opportunity, every girl can become
a leader with the courage to act on her values, develop the ability to
make clear decisions, and acquire the self confidence to make a
difference in the world around her. Girl Scouts helps girls grow
courageous and strong through girl-driven programs, reflecting the
ever-changing needs and interests of girls.

includes developing, managing, expanding and evaluating council run
science programs. This individual will recruit, train, and supervise
temporary staff and volunteers who deliver science based programs for
girls. This individual will develop and implement marketing strategies
to ensure maximum participation in available programs.

This individual will have at least a Bachelor's degree in a related
field and at least two years experience in design and implementation of
youth programs; or, equivalent combination of education and experience.
They will have a strong working knowledge of and at least one year
experience with informal science education programming and inquiry-based
teaching methods. They will have a demonstrated ability to forecast
participation levels with at least one year experience with creating and
implementing marketing plans. This individual will also have
demonstrated success in working with volunteers and/or leading and
managing teams as well as have demonstrated success in designing and
implementing programming for large-scale audiences across extensive
geography.

benefits.
