This may be of interest to anyone in the Chicago/Northern Illinois area.

A new classical music series is coming to Southland Chicago. It's called
The Mayoral Series, a three-concert chamber music series presented by
the Tinley Park Arts Council (TPAC) on Sunday afternoons at the Andrew
High School Center for performing arts. Tinley Park Mayor Ed Zabrocki
said: "This will be an opportunity for residents to see world-class
musicians at bargain rates right in their own community."

Besides locale, another attractive element of the series is the pricing.
Tickets are $20 for adults and $5 for any student. But in a twist on
the "children must be attended by adults" rule, any student can bring
in up to two adults for only $10 each. Where else can three music lovers
hear members of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra for $25?

The first concert on September 24, 2006 features The Sebastian Quartet,
which is made up of four prominent members of the Chicago Symphony
Orchestra. That concert will feature string quartets of Beethoven (Op.
18, No.6) and Tchaikovsky (Op. 11). On February 11, duo pianists Yuki
and Tomoko Mack will perform music of 20th century masters and The Jupiter
Trio will appear on April 29 playing Trios of Beethoven and Shostakovich.

Concerts begin at 3:00 P.M. sharp at Andrew High School, 9001 W. 171st
Street, Tinley Park, IL. For tickets call 708-444-5278. More information
is available at: http://www.tinleyparkartscouncil.org
