Yes, I have heard of this... I posted about it I think in June.  If you can look 
up the archives there is a lot of info on the subject.  In a nutshell baby got 
meningitis from breastmilk containing Beta strep ( i believe)  sorry its been so 
long now.  BAby has life long problems.  Mom is pregnant with second child 
and has been instructed NOT to breastfeed second child.  Milk was cultured.  I 
was completely floored to hear this... Please look back at my posts as some of 
my moms had problems with MRSA and I don't want to give you miss 
information.  You can e-mail me privately and I can send you the exact time 
lines of events that her family member sent me.  Sorry about this case you 
have.
