As a children's museum, we don't really get into the highly technical world of robotics. That said, I had a really successful event last year. We partenered with a local FIRST Robotics Team (who actually came in first at the regional meet!) and they brought their winning robot to the museum, along with some materials from the Lego League competitions. They demonstrated their 'bots, answered lots of questions and let our young visitors try their hands at the controls. They were here for several days over spring vacation week. It was a rewarding experience for the high school students, and a fun time for our visitors.

The most exciting phrase to hear in science, the one that heralds new discoveries, is not "Eureka!" (I found it!) but "That's funny..." --Isaac Asimov

Hello!
I'm interested in learning what type of robotics program is offered at
other science centers. What brand do you use? Do you build your own
robots? How do you incorporate this with your school group offerings?

Thanks so much!
