I have to say - the exhibit where you sit down and "order" different
food items and the kitchen staff mocks you if you order an unsustainable
item is one of the best I've ever been too - I tell folks about it all
the time! The fact that at least a few of the catch phrases have stuck
with me (years later) is probably even more telling.

Dear Nina,

Thanks for mentioning the aquarium's advocacy efforts to create a
network of marine protected areas off the California coast. In addition,
our popular Seafood Watch program involves taking a strong stand against
unsustainable fishing practices. In general, our evaluation studies show
that visitors--and the public at large--support our efforts to advocate
for positive change.

To learn more about the exhibition that Nina mentioned, you may contact
Jenny Sayre Ramberg at: [log in to unmask]

Jon Deuel helped to evaluate the exhibition. He can be reached at:

For information about our Seafood Watch program, you may contact Sheila
Bowman at [log in to unmask]

Coincidentally, the aquarium is embarking on a project to interpret the
impact of climate change on the oceans. This project will also likely
involve a policy or advocacy initiative.

Feel free to contact me or the other people listed above if you need
further information.

Sincerely,

Ava Ferguson
