It says 'everywhere' that previously frozen, thawed milk can be kept
up to 24 hours in a refridgerator.

The only (!?) reference given to that seems to be:
"Arnold LD, Recommendations for Collection, Storage, and Handling of a
Mother's Milk for Her Own Infant in the Hospital Setting, 3 rd ed. The
Human Milk Banking Association of North America: Sandwich,
Massachusetts 1999, p. 18"

I became interested in this as I just ran across the British
microbiologist Anabel Hands who recommends keeping thawed breastmilk
for up to 12 hours only.

Can't seem to find the Lois Arnold text on the internet, but it would
be nice to know what it actually says. Is there a real study behind
the statement "up to 24 h", or how did they end up recommending max.
24 h? Does someone have access to that text?
