In my former position as Outreach Coordinator at a science museum we had 
4 cars and 1 van. I was responsible for arranging all vehicle licensing, 
maintenance and scheduling. Each driver signed a car out, and was 
expected to fill it up if the fuel tank was down to 1/4 full. The 
finance folks kept the insurance current. Although it was additional 
tasks to keep up with, it was preferable to depending on someone else 
who didn't need to use the vehicles on a daily basis.
