Hi Reagan et Al,

Check out a CD by Norm Walker, a Canadian singer whose CD is entitled
"T" Time: Time Tested Tales, Tall & True" This CD is available from
Walker himself (www.normwalker.com) or through Bullfrog Music
(www.bullfrogmusic.com)

There are two great songs on this CD about aspects of electrical
engineering. The best is called "Ohm's Law" and it's a hoot. The other,
entitled "Interchange Two Phases" is also funny but a bit on the gross
side and the subject is much more obscure.

Both of these are well worth chasing for anyone who enjoys messing about
with electrons in one way or another!

In addition to Tom Lehrer and They Might Be Giants, there are quite a
few dinosaur songs out there:
"Homo Erectus" - Kinky Friedman (PG13)
"Their Brains Were Small and They Died" - Mark Graham (Thesis out of
favor with paleontologists)
One person who takes this science songs thing from the other side is:
Sam Hinton http://www.samhinton.org/ Sam has been at it quite a while
and has max boffin credentials. He also has credentials as a science
museum insider.
I've heard that Robert Millikan used to sing cowoy songs while waiting
for cosmic rays to come in. I've never heard of any authentic
laboratory work songs, I imaginge the folks toiling away in the
sequencing labs have their own ways of warding off the tedium.
