Hi all,
This reported research says that breastfeeding does not protect against
asthma, allergies and few other things.

I would like to read the whole of the research article. Even if the report
is correct breastfeeding still must be better than formula feeding simply
because it ensures optimal growth and development of the baby and it is an
enjoyable experience for mum and baby.
I personally would like to see the advantage/disadvantage argument and
having to looking for reasons to breastfeed stop. Why is optimal
development and enjoyment not enough? What about "I breastfeed because it
feels right." I would love 10 cents for everyone who has told me on the
quiet that they breastfed because it felt right! I have yet to hear anyone
say that it bottle feeding felt right.
Just think of how uncomplicated and managable breastfeeding classes would
become! We would simply be empowering mothers to make choices for
themselves.
I think I will just go on dreaming ....
