Sounds like retained placenta to me. I've had several clients who
have finally been diagnosed at 6 weeks or so, and yes, even having
had C/secs, even though you would think it was less of a
risk. Sometimes there will be haemorrhage, sometimes a uterine
infection. I'd explore with this mother awaiting results from the
ultrasound, rather than taking combined hormonal contraceptives.
