We have the Flinn version and it makes a nice brick, but the brick will
crumble into a soft snow.  We've used ours for about 7 or 8 years and it
still works wonderfully!

We are in the process of purchasing a dry ice maker for our science
center.  I have heard some brands make 'slushy' dry ice, while others
make nice solid, high quality blocks of dry ice.  Does anyone have
recommendations from personal experience?

 

The two brands we are looking at are from Flinn Scientific and Lab
Safety Supplies (I'm not looking for a brand plug, rather just the best
dry ice maker).  I'm leaning towards the Flinn version.

 

Any advice?
