ISEN-ASTC-L is a service of the Association of Science-Technology Centers
Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.

A school district in our region is considering setting up a natural history
center that would also serve as a training center for teachers in the
district. They're looking for job descriptions of any similar positions
that might exist elsewhere. Among other things, the high school in this
district has a class in taxidermy and an outstanding collection of taxidermy
mounts. Here's the outline I was given:

"The job will be to inventory the district's science equipment, develop lab
curriculum for the schools, train the teachers in those labs, increase and
maintain the Natural History collection and all that goes with that. The
position would be called a Science Teacher Consultant."

If anyone can help with this, please send your replies to me, for
forwarding, or write directly to: Howard Whitten [[log in to unmask]]
