Hi Pat,

I doubt this has anything to do with breastfeeding.  And a one time episode 
doesn't need a big workup, if any.  If the bleeding were persistant, it would 
need an evaluation that included an exam and a urine specimen. If the blood 
were vaginal, which I bet it wasn't, it would be darker, not bright red.  Toddler 
nursing is unlikely to play a role.
