A great demonstration or participative experiment would be to set up 
a gadget that flings fast-spinning table-tennis balls, which will 
then fly in a spectacularly swerving path.

You could also use real baseballs but you'd need more space, closer 
observation (because they swerve less) and considerable safety precautions...!
