I've helped several moms who have had gastric bypass. None have had
difficulty making sufficient milk, and one is making more than her baby
needs (she is partially pumping because the baby has an airway
abnormality and cannot breastfeed every feeding, needs a specialty
feeder for some feeds in order to get enough food AND enough oxygen).

One of my sisters is a Registered Dietitian with a specialty in
therapeutic nutrition, so she was able to give me information on foods
and supplements for these moms to help them get sufficient fat soluble
vitamins. It is important to make every bite count, by making everything
mom eats be packed with good fats, vitamins, and protein.
