BF got off to a pretty good
start but after going home the baby refused to latch unless she was
standing and would swing her body back and forth.

I know this was a few days ago, this post but...I can say I also worked with
a mom whose baby would latch and feed ok at some times during the day, but
at others would only latch and feed if mom was standing, sometimes walking but
even standing made a difference. This mom also had a nanny who took care of
the baby from 8PM - 9AM, so baby only actually nursed maybe 3 times a day,
the rest of the time she got EMM in a bottle. Ironically, this odd situation
worked ( second baby and mom gave up fairly early on, I didn't know her then)
and I heard from the mom recently that baby had turned one year, and was still
 nursing somewhat.
I figure this baby needed the position for organizational purposes, maybe
flow was a little different as well, interesting we humans are...

Peace,
Judy
