How about a miniature model greenhouse with a hot spotlamp above it, 
while a second spotlamp shines down onto the table beside the greenhouse.

Hold your hand under the second lamp and judge the air temperature, 
then push your hand through a rubber flap into the greenhouse and 
notice the increased air temperature.

You could make this into a boring teaching aid by using thermometers, 
but the temperature difference should be great enough to feel, which 
is much better.
