Just after 9/11, the City of San Diego found a "suspicious-looking box"
near
an old residential neighborhood. After making a big fuss with fire engines
and ambulances, lots of sirens and flashing red lights, the bomb squad came
out
and blew the box behind a mound of sandbags. In a puff of smoke, hundreds
of
pages of letters written by elementary school children in the 1930s floated

to the ground.
