The one difference is that an RN, regardless of her background, has passed
the same exam in her state as another RN. So while I may not know if she has
a 3 year diploma degree, a 4 year BSN degree or a two year AD, I do know that
she passed the same state licensure exam as did her counterparts. And that
she had to attend some sort of qualified, accredited school of nursing prior
to passing that exam.

Therein lies a HUGE difference between our professions.
