I'm looking for recent research that demonstrates the effects on milk
composition when mother is on a diary free diet. I read through old posts
related to vegan diets, but did not turn up anything specific to just diary
free. We have a doctor in our practice who has told mothers of babies with
milk-soy protien intolorance that there is no research that shows that
breastfeeding while on a dairy free diet is safer then formula. Yugh!!
While we would like to ask him to show us his evidence that demonstrates
that formula is safer then breastmilk when mom in on a diary free diet, we
thought we would take on the "burden" to show him our research, since we
know he wont find any to support his position. We have been earmarking
things in Lawerence and the LLL Answer book. Is anyone out there sitting
on any "newer" research on this specific issue?
