And if anyone needs a vehicle for their outreach programs, many dealerships are happy to donate a vehicle (and are generally very happy to around Dec!) as it is a donation and huge tax write off for them! Jill

As outreach honcho, I'm in charge of scheduling who takes the van out on
days when we have more than 1 outreach (common) and taking it in for
maintenance like oil changes. Whoever has it when it's low on gas fills
up the tank, and the accounting/finance folks manage stuff like
license/registration/insurance.

Congratulations to the European Space Agency, which last week put the
first probe onto the surface of Saturn's moon Titan. Since the
atmosphere of Titan contains large amounts of prebiotic compounds, let's
hope the ESA really scrubbed that probe to remove all microbes and DNA
traces. If astronomers suddenly observe huge tentacled beasts growing
around where the probe landed, that won't be cool.
