I havent myself used lily padz with my clients, but presented the same concern to a local distributor who visited my office a while ago.  At least for me, it doesnt make sense to be preventing for hours the breast from leaking.  Isnt this some sort of relief for the breast?  
   
  Not surprised at all that it is being associated with mastitis.
