Can we have a comment from Dr. Brian Palmer on this - regarding his "kid in a candy store" reaction to being allowed to study ancient skulls in the storage / research areas of the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History. He said something about finding more cavities in the teeth of a modern, mid-1900's, skull than he found cumulatively in all the pre-1900's skulls in the museum. He related that mostly to breastfeeding and allowed some based on the modern diet.

Example: a woman walked in to my hospital carrying her baby in a car seat, complete with an 8oz! bottle of a bright pink liquid!

It makes sense to do this for formula-fed babies, partially breastfed babies, and otherwisefed babies, but not for exclusively breastfed babies.
