she should not have to dump milk, ...moms should be able to pack ice-packs
and frozen or cold milk in their checked luggage, ..just like any other liquid
(ie cosmetics, shampoo) that is packed in checked luggage it should be in
leak-proof containers and then also in leak-proof bags, zip-lock type or the
more rugged type that campers use for water sports.

moms can be reminded that fresh Brmilk can be at room temp for several
hours, ....packed in checked luggage the milk will be in warm areas for some
amount of time then in very cold areas at other times, ....for most flights this
would work out fine, ....for longer flights milk can be packed as above in
checked luggage.

For longer flights with milk packed in checked luggage I would check with
airlines to see if "dry ice" is allowed in checked luggage.

(She did not have pumped milk with her yet, so this was a
theoretical situation as to traveling with pumped milk without a baby. It
seems that you will be allowed to have formula or pumped milk, if you are
actually flying with a baby.)>>>
she should be able to take her pump on the plane and pump in flight as
needed.

........called her congressperson and the local media.>>>

hopefully to tell them what a good job the TSA is doing *and* how they can
better accommodate Bf moms and babies.
