The lists of instructions I have read have specifically exempted milk  
for babies from the liquid proscription (including breastmilk and  
ABM), and also "medical items" sufficient and essential for the flight.

I would strenuously argue that a breast pump is a medical necessity  
for a lactating woman who can't hand express well enough. Not to  
mention much more discreet than hand expressing in a crowded airline!
