Well, the seeds would have simply been used to grow Old Tobacco
(Nicotiana rustica, which is much stronger, and therefore has more
"power" for ritual purposes than regular tobacco). Old Tobacco, grown
in dense shade so that it is pale and almost white in color, is smoked
in practicing or curing black magic and in exorcising demons, etc.,
therefore in certain kinds of curing. The claw is an implement
representing lightning, which is used to destroy evil spirits or drive
them out. She herself did not say this, but I have it from other
sources.

A pity she did not explain the use for the claw and seeds.
