Lath:

I believe Space Odyssey at Denver Museum of Nature and Science has an
exhibit very similar to what you are describing. You may want to contact
them.

Subject: crater simulator at ASTC '04?

Does anyone know who was showing off a crater simulator in the exhibit hall
at the conference in '03 or '04? It had a steel ball that dropped into some
kind of slurry and made a nice crater, then was scooped up by a claw to be
dropped again. Hopefully someone's memory is better then mine. Thanks.
