Regarding walking pneumonia, I had it this past December and it lasted till mid January.  You dont get fever as in regular pneumonia, still the cough was bad enough.  I think (of course, Im just guessing since Im no MD) that I had whopping cough, since one time I got it from a client (you can get it even though you are vaccinated).  
   
  I dont think it is contagious, since neither one in my family nor my friends got it from me...still, I couldnt work.
