I'd ask Ed Sobey. He has written many books for kids on invention. He's
gets kids, parents, the whole community excited about invention and
innovation. He was a keynote for Virginia Children's Engineering
convention. He was great at the Sci-Tech Festival in Pittsburgh, when I
was there. He can touch on anything from the hands-on activities, to
history or process.

We are working with the Lemelson-MIT Program to create an
invention/design challenge event for high school students in May that
will include a theater presentation of their award-winning inventors.
We are looking for minor to even somewhat major celebrity types who
could energetically get the kids excited about the day and to help
facilitate the inventors' presentations.

We have looked into the MytheBusters but don't think its quite the right

fit. They need to be somewhat connected to design and innovation, fun
and if possible be recognizable and yet, not completely overshadow the
award winners themselves. Not asking for too much....

If anyone has any thoughts or recommendations they would be most
appreciated.
Thanks,
Lynn
