Just as a spur-of-the-picosecond thought, have you considered any of the PBS-WGBH series "This Old House" regulars, since they are already in the Boston area? Some of them have done some inspirational short videos inspiring young people to consider entering construction trades as a worthy occupation, and creatively using their minds as well as their hands. I get the impression that they would also willingly and sincerely encourage young people to get as much formal education in science and math as they can in order to succed in technological occupations at whatever level they choose. And they are all well-experienced in presenting their ideas.

We are working with the Lemelson-MIT Program to create an
invention/design challenge event for high school students in May that
will include a theater presentation of their award-winning inventors.
We are looking for minor to even somewhat major celebrity types who
could energetically get the kids excited about the day and to help
facilitate the inventors' presentations.

We have looked into the MytheBusters but don't think its quite the right
fit. They need to be somewhat connected to design and innovation, fun
and if possible be recognizable and yet, not completely overshadow the
award winners themselves. Not asking for too much....

If anyone has any thoughts or recommendations they would be most
appreciated.
Thanks,
Lynn
