I have also found lipstick nipple when latch is too shallow on bottom
therefore baby's tongue strokes the nipple instead of the aerola. Lois

Sliding of the tongue is one of the compensations we are seeing in
tongue tied infants in our ultrasound study. Check under that little
tongue.
