Hi everyone,

These are excellent questions Janice, thank you for the ideas. I was lead
to believe that she was removed from her work environment because of the
risk of these chemicals to the fetus, but I will clarify that. I am in
Ontario, and now have some good ideas to check into. Thanks!

Subject: Re: occupational chemicals and breastfeeding

Was she assigned to a different position while pregnant, to protect her from
exposure to these chemicals? Was it labour laws, or occupational safety
laws that caused her to be re-assigned? If so, these same laws could/should
protect her while breastfeeding. Where are you, so that you could research
these laws. I think it would be worthwhile to check on with the
Occupational Health & Safety representative at her workplace, and with your
state/province.
