As an adjunct to your smoker's lung display you may wish to consider a further reason for not smoking...economics. It is rather simple to set up a spreadsheet which shows year by year the amount of money accumulated in a savings account if the money which would have been spent on one pack of cigarettes a day is instead deposited in the account. It turns out that if this is started at age 16, then by the time the person has reached retirement age there is over one million dollars in the account. In setting up the spreadsheet be sure to include the effects of inflation on the cost of the cigarettes.

When a printout starting at age 16 and ending at age 70 was on display in our little science center there was a fairly steady trickle of visitors who would ask for copies.

Hello, colleagues.

I am looking for a freeze-dried lung cross section that:
	1. belongs to either a dog, sheep, pig, or other similar mammal
	2. has been chemically treated to resemble a smoker's lung
	3. is relatively inexpensive (under $50)

Any ideas where I could find this?

Thanks for your help!
