Palisades Virtuosi Presents We Sing of Spring on May 20, Featuring World
Premiere of New Work by Carlos Franzetti

Ridgewood, NJ - The critically-acclaimed Palisades Virtuosi will present
"We Sing of Spring", a program of chamber works on Saturday May 20 -
8:00 p.m.  at the Unitarian Society of Ridgewood, 113 Cottage Place In
Ridgewood, New Jersey.

Performers for the Gala final concert of their 2005-2006 Season will be
Virtuosi members flutist Margaret Swinchoski, clarinetist Donald Mokrynski
and pianist Ron Levy, with guest artists Katherine Harris, soprano and
Richard Hobson, baritone.

This concert will feature the world premiere of Four Movements for
Virtuosi by Grammy-Award winning composer, Carlos Franzetti.  Mr.
Franzetti won the 2001 Latin Grammy for Best Tango Album with "Tango
Fatal".  The program will also include works by Copland, Mozart & Strauss.
Every concert by the Palisades Virtuosi includes the world premiere of
a work commissioned for the ensemble.

Tickets for the May 20 concert are $15 and $12 for students and seniors.

Soprano Katherine Harris has received praise in a variety of operatic
and concert roles.  She has performed frequently as soloist with companies
such as Prague Radio Symphony, St.  Petersburg Philharmonic, Western
Opera Theater, and other companies in the Tri-State area.  Ms.  Harris
made her Carnegie Hall solo debut and toured the Czech Republic and
Russia with the Oratorio Society of NY.  She is a voice faculty member
at the Music Conservatory of Westchester in White Plains, NY and an
Affiliate Artist/Voice Teacher at Kean University in Union, New Jersey.

Baritone Richard Hobson has appeared previously with the Palisades
Virtuosi and at some of the most prestigious performing venues in America,
including the Metropolitan Opera, the Dallas Opera, Baltimore Opera, The
Spoleto Festival (USA), Mississippi Opera, Skylight Opera, Michigan Opera
Theatre, Nashville, Augusta, and Shreveport Operas.  Mr.  Hobson is a
frequent recitalist and oratorio singer and has performed extensively
in concert halls and churches throughout the United States.  Mr.  Hobson
also teaches voice and opera.  He is presently an Affiliate Artist at
Kean University where he teaches voice and opera.

The Palisades Virtuosi was established to promote and enrich the repertoire
for flute, clarinet and piano and presents concerts that include existing
and newly-commissioned repertoire for this configuration, supplemented
by solos, duos and larger works featuring guest artists.  Volume One of
their New American Masters CD series has just been released by Albany
