The first name that comes to mind is Alberto Erede.  Nothing he did was
up to standard, to say the least.  He worked with some of the finest
artists of his day: Tebaldi, Bjorling, del Monaco etc.  In my opinion
he was a very mediocre conductor.  If you want nausea, go with Erede.
