Ok, why all the sudden burst of publicity and the outcry to get all babies
into cribs? This is a backlash if ever I saw one. (Remember the media mood
every year around World Breastfeeding Week?)

Methinks it's because the new WHO growth charts will be released April 27.
The new references will be stunning in their impact, according to people who
were involved in their development.

The formula companies have fought against publishing clean data and revised
growth charts for decades. The formula companies pour heavy funding into the
big SIDS groups in the US, and at one time gave a big grant to FSID in the
UK.

I don't think this is a coincidence. Besides, the published research simply
doesn't support the opinion that "all bedsharing is lethal."
