People seem to be able handle multiple year designations fairly well.
In addition to the calendar year, most of us already deal with the
"fiscal year".

The US Government's fiscal year 2008 starts on October 1st, 2007 and
ends on September 31st 2008.

The Arkansas State Government's fiscal year 2008 runs from 1 July 2007
to June 30th 2008.

It could get even more complicated if we were discussing weights and measures!

LOL :-)
