Continuing the possibility of allergy to dairy products, kosher parve is assured to be 100% dairy free because there are strict rules about consuming anything containing milk several hours after eating meat. (a drop of milk spilt accidentally onto a meat dish would render it unkosher if it comprises one sixtieth of the volume of the meat)
Look at the labels on packaging in kosher delis or supermarkets that stock kosher products, and there should be a certification of a rabbinical court stating if it is parve.
If it is in Hebrew it looks like this:
פרווה
I hope those Hebrew letters get through to your computers.

The popularity of soya formulas in Israel is because of the meat/milk issue and this in itself has caused overuse of soya as was publicised a year ago in the great Remedia scandal - Vit. B1 was inadvertently omitted from a batch sent over by the German manufacturers. The results were disastrous and for a time there was a "surge" in interest in breastfeeding. Unfortunately, memories are short and soy formula is still much in demand.
