Other ideas concerning open space should include Arts & Crafts Movement  and 
City Beautiful Movements, both of which meandered between a mystical nature  
and something to be controlled. There are a number of references in Arts &  
Crafts to "Middle Earth" and returning to the earth, especially in architecture  
and the embracement of native stone and wood.
