When I first read Doris Haire's book after my first daughter's natural in
hospital birth in 1974-though unnatural treatment 

of her, it was an ah ha moment of how birth had changed.  

 

Some on this list may want this booklet for historical reasons because birth
has changed to be even more out of the control 

of mothers.
