Something that might be helpful is Carl Sagan's "Cosmos" TV series,
specifically Episode 2 - One Voice in the Cosmic Fugue. As part of the
episode, Dr. Sagan shows the evolution of life on Earth from microbes to
humans. The first part of that sequence takes you through it with
explanations. The second part of it is sped up. It's a much longer
timeline than what you were needing, but you might be able to extract
parts of it. The only thing I don't know is getting the rights to use the
footage, if you do end up using it. It might be expensive, but there may
be a provision for educational use.

Good luck!
