(Apologies for cross-postings)

The Centre For Life is an innovative science centre that uses interactive displays and hands-on exhibitions, showing visitors exactly how amazing human life is. From exciting science exhibits and family activities to lively lectures and serious scientific debates focusing on contemporary science issues. The Centre For Life’s mission is to create a vibrant and exciting focus for the region where science is explored and debated. We aim to improve awareness and understanding of the possibilities that contemporary science has to offer.

In this role you will carry out general and detailed research for the development of two new exhibition zones dealing with different aspects of the human species, “Our Origins” and “Our Future”. These form the second phase of the “Human Life” project which is due to open in spring 2007, this post therefore being on a fixed term basis. You will be able to absorb, digest and communicate often complex and controversial science in an informative and engaging way and have a strong interest in contemporary science issues. Experience of a similar role in a science centre or museum would be an advantage, though not essential, as would experience or interest in exhibit or interactive software design.
